USING PAINT BRUSH

Using the Paint Shop Pro Paint Brushes that you can create yourself is very easy and as addictive as making and using Picture Tubes.

If you don't want to make the brushes yourself, Paint Shop Pro also has a range of ready made Paint Brushes for quick use.

In this tutorial you will learn how to use the Paint Brushes.

STEP 1

Open a new image, any size and any color background.

STEP 2

Add a new layer. This is not neccessary, but it is a good idea to always work in layers. Layers allow you to move and position images exactly where you want them to be.

STEP 3

Click on the Paint Brush Tool or you can also use the Airbrush Tool and then click on the Toggle Tool Options window.

STEP 4

Click on the Brush Types Icon and check the Custom selection from the Drop Down Menu.

STEP 5

Select the Brush Shape you desire. Here we will use the Heart Shape. Click OK and it is ready for use.

STEP 6

Change the Foreground and Background colors to your choice. You can use patterns, gradients or solid colors, whatever is normally available for use in the color pallette.

Change the size and opacity to suit and just point and click wherever on your canvas to make the images.

You are only limited by your imagination.
