STEP 8

Take your Selection Tool . Set this at Rectangle and trim around your image to take off as much empty space around the Snowglobe as possible.

When you have made the selection, click on Image then Crop to Selection.

fig 1STEP 9

Click on the Toggle Layer Palette and select the Sparkles Layer so that it becomes the active layer.

Select the Picture Tube Tool and randomly add some Sparkles at a setting of around 30 to 40. As I have a lot of white in the pic I also placed a couple of blue sparkles in there to give it effect.

STEP 10

Go to Layers || Merge || Merge Visible

Save this image as image1 in gif format.

STEP 11

Hit the undo button once to unmerge the layers.

Click on the Toggle Layers Palette, Right click on the Sparkles Layer and delete that layer.

STEP 12

Now make a New Layer and name that Sparkles.

Randomly add some Sparkle Tubes and repeat from STEP 10 again.

I suggest to make no less than 3 separate images, but not too many that the finished animated image will be too slow to load.

Your Snowglobe is now ready for the animation phase.

Please open the Animation Shop Tutorial to finish your Snow Globe.
