Creating Silver Text
PSP Tutorial
Here is a
quick psp tutorial to create text that has a Silver look to finer style
fonts. The silver text looks great on a black background. You do need
to download a free plugin filter that is supplied below and the good part
is that this filter is great to use on a variety of other graphic projects
especially if they have a water effect.
Step
One
Open a new image.
200
x 100
White background
16 Million Colors
Step 2 
Click on the Text Tool. 
Set the fill color to Light Grey #C0C0C0
Type in some text.
Text used, Times New Roman, 36 Point
Step 3 
Apply Greg's Pool Shadow Filter
Effects>Plugin
Filters>Gregs Factory Output>Pool Shadow
Settings
= 50
Diagonal = 50
Center = 50
Horizontal = 50
Diagonal = 50
Horizontal = 50
Vertical = 50
Intensity = 128
Lightness = 128
(Play
around with the intensity and lightness to suit.)
Step
4 
Add a little Drop Shadow Effects>3D
Effects>Drop Shadow
Vertical = 1
Horizontal = 1
Opacity = 100
Blur = 0
Shadow Color = Black

Deselect text and Save As.
