Working With Grids PSP Tutorial


Ayers Rock Australia. PSP grid tutorialYou can easily blend a grid over a background image to add an additional effect to your website images and banners.

The following PSP tutorial will show you how to apply grids to your website images or banners.




Step 1

Open up an image in Paint Shop Pro that you want a grid effect over.

Add a new layer. (Layers / New Raster Layer)

Make your Foreground color Light Brown (R=222 G=195 B=140)
and your Background color Black.

Click on the Flood Fill Tool flood fill tool and select a Sunburst Gradient Fill from the Styles Selector with the following settings;

Fill Style = Sunburst Gradient
Blend Mode = Normal
Paper Texture and Match Mode = None
Opacity = 100

Flood Fill your image.











Tiles effect selectorStep 4

 

Click on
Effects / Texture Effects / Tiles
and apply Tile Shape as Square.













 

 

Adjust layer opacity. Step 5

Click on the layers toggle tool and slide adjust the layer opacity, drawing out the image beneath until you have your desired effect.





 



Step 6

Save your image as whatever you wish and it's done.

Play around with the different tile shapes, colors and effects you can apply with this great graphic program. It's a lot of fun learning.
