Part 2 How to make party hats with Paint Shop Pro
This follows on from the previous page and finishes of the psp party hat tutorial. Saving your party hat image as a picture tube is highly recommended.

In part 2 we will add the finishing touches to your party hat image. Don't forget to save the basic party hat as a picture tube for later use.

STEP 6

Apply a Noise Filter

Effects || Noise || Add

% Effect = 2
Uniform = Checked

Deselect your Party Hat Image.

You now have the basic Party Hat shape.

Merge the Visible layers and save this as a Picture Tube.
File || Export || Picture Tube

Doing this you can change the colors to whatever you want by opening the Tube and going Colors || Colorize and playing with the Hue settings.

STEP 8

This part is brief but you will get the idea. Your imagination is all that will stop you from creating a beautiful work of art.

Open a New Image. Add a New Layer.

Apply your Party Hat Picture Tube.

Colorize it to suit. Colors || Colorize

Add a New Layer and click the Freehand Drawing Tool

Draw a string.

Add a New Layer and apply an Orange Sparkle Tube as the Pom Pom.

Add a New Layer and apply some Stripes or Preset Shapes like Stars, etc, to your hat.

Save your finished work and enjoy.
