PARTY HATS
Making
PSP party hats is fun and very rewarding. This psp tutorial shows how it is done.
We have split the tutorial
into 2 parts to facilitate page loading times as screenshots have been used to
compliment each step. Please follow the link below step 5 to complete the party
hat tutorial. STEP
1 Open
a New Image 400 x 400 Transparent Background 16 Million Colors
STEP

Set
your Background Color to a medium color and your Foreground Color
the same color but a darker shade. This example used Blue Colors #6A57FB
and #26069E. Select the Preset Shapes Tool
and draw a large triangular shape on the canvas.
STEP

Add
a New Layer and set your Preset Shapes Tool to Ellipse. Draw
a skinny ellipse shape at the bottom of the triangle. Move
the ellipse into position with the Mover Tool .
You should now have an image that looks like a dunces hat. STEP
4 You
will now add some 3D effects to make the Party Hat look more lifelike. Go
to Selections || Select All Selections || Float This
will place the marching ants around the Ellipse Shape and make it the active selection. Go
Effects || 3D Effects || Cutout Vertical
and Horizontal = 11 Opacity = 31 Blur = 20 Color = #26069E
The color for the Cutout Filter should be the darker color that you have used.
STEP
5
Deselect
the Ellipse shape. Selections || Select None Now
you select the Triangle Shape. Go to the Toggle Layer Palette ,
click and select Layer 1. Go
Selections || Select All || Selections || Float Apply
a Cutout Filter. Effects || 3D Effects || Cutout Horizontal
& Vertical = 25 Opacity = 30 Blur = 48 Color = The darker color Please
