Turtix is the name of the main character in this arcade / platform game. He is a large warrior turtle who has to save all the young ones, collecting precious gems along the way. This free online version passes through 5 magical islands / levels. All set within what seems like Asian lands.

Turtix is played via keyboard. To move Turtix press the LEFT and RIGHT arrow keys. To make him jump, press the UP key. After jumping on an enemy, press the spacebar to kick him into oblivion and make him disappear. Highly recommended for everyone, especially girls who will enjoy the cute graphics.

Game design plan

Shown below is a game design plan using 'Turtix' as an example.

Please Note: This game design plan is merely a reverse-engineer of my experiences as a player.

One sentence description:
A platform, come arcade game where Turtix has to save all the young turtles, while collecting gems along the way.

Scenario / World:


There are numerous fantasy worlds within this platform / arcade game. All the housing within the background graphics look to be asian / japanese in style.

Mode:


 Single Player

Objectives:
Save all the young turtles, collecting gems along the way.


Characters:

The main character is a larger turtle called Turtix. He is green in color, with large eyes. Looks like a cartoon warrior.



Audio / visual aesthetics:


Graphics are cute, colorful and very detailed.

Magical kind of sounds. Fairytale to the ear, is how I'd describe it. Tingles etc.

Possible Target Audience:

Everyone will enjoy this game.



Itemization of game elements:


The bottom left GUI has an option to turn the music on or off.

The bottom right GUI gives the player the choice to download the full version.

The top left GUI shows a life line.

Top right GUI displays your total score for that level.

After each level is completed you are shown:

  • how many gems are collected
  • how many enemies were defeated
  • how many secrets were found

The player is asked to press any key to continue. The next level is then loaded.

 

Itemization of game rules:


Score 10 points for each gem collected.

Free all the young turtles.
