Puzzle City is a simulation game similar to Sim City where you build up a town or community. To start with you need to set the ground work, laying down contruction for housing, schools, commercial areas, firestations, police etc. The first time you load the game, there are basic instructions to help you begin. However, from that stage there isn't a lot of help. Not that you really need it as it's pretty self explainatory. As a player you simply click and drag (mouse) the different building types onto the main map.

The free online version of Puzzle City doesn't give you as much time play as other simulation games I've come across. Apart from dragging and dropping groundwork onto the map there isn't a lot more to the free version, although the full paid one does promise extra's. Having said that, the free version of this sim game is still a good example for a game developer to look at and improve on. Personally I found it a little slow moving and not exciting enough to keep me interested for very long. Anyway, have a play and see what you think?

Note: This is not the design plan from the developers of Puzzle City. It's merely a reverse-engineer of a game design plan based on my experiences as a player.

Once sentence description:	Simulation game that lets you create a city from laying the construction blocks, then watching them grow into full buildings like houses, fire stations, schools etc.
Senario / World:	City construction zone, neighbourhood area
Mode:	Single Player
Objectives:	Lay down the construction blocks appropiately to keep the city folk happy. Earn bonuses so you can upgrade buildings and cityscapes.
Characters:	There are no characters in this online sim game, simply objects to drag and drop, such as constructions blocks. Now and then you do see a cartoon figure of a construction builder who gives you little hints and tips on how to play the game.
Audio / visual aesthetics:	Visually, the graphics are well done. They are along similar lines to Sim City where it seems as though you are looking down on a township from above. Audio / sound and music can be turned up or down at any time by clicking on the options menu. I liked the music personally. It's a very catchy swing style melody.
Genre:	puzzle / simulation
Possible Target Audience:	The target audience is suitable for adults who like slow moving puzzle type games.
Itemization of game elements:	Game is played with mouse. The introduction page displays the map of the Earth and moon. On the free online version you only have one choice of area's from which to start. As soon as you start the game, you see an online conveyer belt with construction blocks. You also see an airial view of the cityscape from which you're to start building the town. Displayed along the top navigation is the stage, level and score. It also tells you the current population. There is a telephone from which you receive random phone calls. Once you have achieved each levels objectives, you are shown a newspaper with the towns news. This give you the storyline for the game. Personally, I would have shown one of these right from the beginning.
Itemization of game rules:	Drag and drop numerous types of construction blocks from the conveyer belt onto the town layout, to build the city. Click on the phone when it rings to see the messages.
