Pupzzle - puppy puzzle game
Don't let looks deceive you. This cute puppy puzzle game is just as much fun for mum and dad, as it is for the kids. The first time I played it, I scored the points equivalent of a pathetic pooch! Which is what makes you want to play it again and again.
The rules are easy, solve the puzzles by mouse clicking objects and locations.

Game design plan
Design plans are recommended so game creators have a clear objective in mind before they start to code the actionscript (Adobe Flash). Shown below is an example of how to make a design plan if you wanted to create a kids game similar to 'Pupzzle'.
Note: This is not the design plan 'Pencil Kids' used when making this game. It's merely a reverse-engineer of a game design plan based on my experiences as a player.

The main character is the cute dog / puppy named pupzzle. He is interchangeable hats, big eyes and a little waging tail. |
Audio / visual aesthetics:

Visually the graphics are very colorful and bold, yet simple in style, detailed with shadows.
The puppy whimpers and his eyes turn sad until the puzzle is solved. Then he turns happy, barks in delight and pounces to the next level.
The audio changes suitably for each level.

Game introduction screen consists of:
- Option to turn music on or off
- Highscores button - to view them
- More Games button - takes you to the developers website so you can view their full range of kids games
- Start button - to begin the game
- Play with pupzzle button - only available for purchase as an addon. You can also buy 18 new hats for the puppy.
- Bottom right corner, the player can create a profile or login, if they wish.
When the game player mouse clicks the 'Start Button', they are taken to a screen that encourages them to select a hat. Players have a choice of 3 hats, the rest are locked and available for purchase from the mochi store.
Along the bottom third of the screen, the player is also given 4 choices:
- Go back to the main menu
- Change hats
- Visit the store
- Continue - to play game
Mouse clicking continue at this stage takes you to the game instructions.
When in the game you can toggle the quality - high, medium, low
You can reset the level or grab a quick hint.
Player is given a score at the end of the game. Score guide displays as:
- 80 000 + perfect pup
- 60 000 - 79 999 pretty good pup
- 40 000 - 59 999 plain pooch
- below 40 000 pathetic pooch
Player can then submit score or go to main menu and start again.

To solve the puzzles, use your mouse to click on objects and locations on the screen.
Collect bones for extra points. There are 6 bones per screen.
