Carcan racing game for younger boys between 6 and 10 years of age. Easy, fun, can be played online. No download required.
Younger boys between the ages of 6 and 10 are going to love this car racing game. The cars are created to look as though they are made from aluminum cans. The car cans are easy to navigate around the racing track and the game doesn't require a lot of skill.
Players are racing the clock in that they need to reach each checkpoint within a 30 second time frame. Keep on the roadway and players will have no trouble making the time limit.
Use keyboard arrow keys to drive the car around the track. 'Up' arrow makes the car go, while the 'Left' and 'Right' arrow keys will navigate the car left and right. Pressing the down arrow will brake the car, slowing down its speed.

Shown below is an example of how to make a design plan if you wanted to create a car racing game similar to 'Carcan'.
Note: This is not the design plan the developer of 'Carcan' used when creating this online game. It's merely a reverse-engineer of a game design plan based on my experiences as a player.
Title: Carcan
Developers: AllFunnyGames.net
One sentence description: Race a car made from cans around a track.
Scenario / World: The game scenario is set on a single car racing track, consisting of numerous checkpoints.
Mode: Single Player
Objectives: Race around the track in as fast a time as possible. There are six other carcans in the race, however they are created more to slow you down if you run into them. Nowhere in the game are you told if your coming first, second, third etc. Therefore it's not really a game against other cars. More against yourself and the clock.
Characters: The main character in the game is the carcan that the game player controls. It's simple in design, made to look as though it is created from empty aluminum cans.
Audio / visual aesthetics:
Genre(s):
Possible Target Audience: Aimed at boys due to the content being car racing. I would also go as far as to say younger boys around 6 - 10 years old as the game does not require a lot of skills. The car cans are easy to navigate around the track. Furthermore, there is only one track to play, therefore older boys may tire of this after a few games.
Itemization of game elements:
Game is played with the pressing of keyboard arrow keys.
The introductory page allows the player three choices:
The bottom GUI of the introductory screen, displays an icon for turning all sound heard through out the game on or off. This option disappears once game starts.
Once the game has started, the top GUI consists of a timer that restarts at 30 seconds for each checkpoint. The bottom GUI (graphical user interface) displays the speed in miles per hour (mph), as well as how many points the player has scored.
