PSP TUTORIAL
How to Blend Photographs with Masks

This tutorial follows on from the basic masks tutorial and explains how to blend two images together with the use of masks.

You will need 2 photo's that you want to blend and a PSP mask. You can use these 3 pics if you wish.

What you will do is merge the Lady's face into the rainbow pic.

STEP 1

Click on the Lady's image. Go to Selections and Select All.

Copy the image to your clipboard. Edit || Copy

STEP 2

Click on the rainbow image to make it the active selection.

Paste the first image from your clipboard, as a new layer, onto the rainbow image.

Edit || Paste || As New Layer

This will cover the rainbow image with the first image.

STEP 3

This step is very important.

Click on the Toggle Layer Palette and turn off the background layer by clicking on the "glasses".

STEP 4

Click on

Masks || New || From Image || This Window || Mask8 || OK

STEP 5

Turn the background layer back on by clicking the glasses again. Adjust the layer opacity to suit and you have blended the photo's.
