Tip : Using the web safe colors makes sure that your web pages
will look the way that you intend your pages to look. Using hexidecimal
numbers that are not of the 216 safe colors specified may make
your pages look differently in different browers.

Orbs.
This
PSP tutorial shows how to make a button graphic or what is termed "orbs"
for website images and graphic design. Step
1 Open
a new image image in Paint Shop Pro.
File/Open Settings 150x150 pixels Any background color 16
million colors Step 2 
Click on the
"Flood Fill" tool
and then select a "Radial Gradient" fill and apply to your image.
Color Pallette>Styles>Textures>Radial Gradient>
Cyan-Magenta
Step

Apply the Twirl Filter (Effects>Geometric Effects>Twirl)
Degrees = 453.

Apply the Ripple Filter (Effects>Geometric Effects>Ripple)
Settings: Amplitude = 9 Wavelength = 43 Horizontal Center = 49
Vertical Center = 50
Step 5 
Apply the Warp Filter (Effects>Geometric
Effects>Warp) Settings: Horizontal Offset = 0 Vertical
Offset = 0 Size = 50 Strength = 100 Step
6 Add a new Raster Layer
Layers/New Raster Layer

Click
on "Selection
Tool" Click
on "Toggle
Tool Options Window"
and select
Circle Feather = 0 Antialias: Checked Draw a circle
on your image as in image to right. Step

Open up an image or picture from your harddrive and apply a "Flood
Fill" pattern to your "Orb
image", using the picture as the pattern.
Step 9

Change
layer's blend mode properties to Color. (Layer>Properties>Color).
Your
image should now look like an Orb. See right. Step
10 Flatten layers (Layers>Merge>Merge All).
Press [CTRL+C] to capture the current selection then press [CTRL+V]
to paste the captured selection onto a new image. Save
your Orb image. You are finished. Different
background colors will give different effects to Orbs, so play around and use
all types of gradient fills and different pictures as backgrounds. Here is another
