STEP
5 Click
on the Toggle
Layer Palette .
Turn OFF the Background Layer by Clicking on the Eyeglasses Icon.
Select Layers and click on Merge Visible. This will merge
the Magnifying Glass layer and the handle Layer.
STEP
6 Turn
the Background Layer back on by clicking on the background layer bar. You
will now have 2 layers, the Background layer and a Merged Layer. Make
the merged Layer the active layer by clicking on that layer. STEP
7 Select
the Magic
Wand Tool. Click
on the Round Glass Circle and
make the circle a selection. Add a New Layer Layers || New Raster
Layer Select
the Flood
Fill Tool. 
Change the Foreground Color to White and the Background Color to Black
Change the Color Palette Style to Gradient and select the Sunburst
Gradient Filter. Select the Foreground-Background Gradient
and Flood Fill the circle selection. STEP
8 Select
the Picture
Tube Tool. Click
on the Toggle
Tool Options,
and add a small Silver Sparkle Tube. ( There is a Silver Sparkle Tube included
with this CD.)
STEP
9 Adjust
the Layers Opacity to bring the page back to view and give the effect of a Glass
look to the Magnifying Circle. Toggle Layers Palette 
Slide Opacity bar to adjust. STEP
10 Now
the Text is added. This part takes a little juggling to get the effect but is
well worth the time and effort. Add a New Layer and name this
layer text1. Select the Text Tool
and type in your required text at a size of 14 point and position it over
the Magnifying Glass.
Look at the letters that fall within the "magnified area".
Undo the text selection and retype your text, highlighting that text you
want to make magnified. Make this highlighted text 20 point and have
another look at how it fits within the Magnifying Glass. Keep adjusting until
the text fits and the magnifying effect is achieved. Merge all layers
and Save As.
