How to make magnified
text
Magnifying text is
one of the best psp tutorials and the end result can be used in many applications.
You may have seen the magnifying effect used in instances on tv ads. Looks
just as if you are looking at the text through a magnifying glass. It's
not hard to follow and is well worth the effort.

As
extensive screenshots have been used in each step of the tutorial, we have split
this over 2 pages to facilitate page loading times. Please follow the link below
step 4 to finish the tutorial. STEP
1 Open
a new image 300 x 300 White Background 16 Million Colors Click
on the Selection
Tool and then
the Toggle
Tool Options .
Apply the following settings Shape = Rectangle Feather = 0
Antialias = Checked Draw a rectangle selection on the image. Do
Not Deselect. STEP 2
Give the Image a Page Curl Filter Effect. Click on Effects || Geometrical
Effects || Page Curl Set
the effect to your taste. Add
some Drop Shadow to the selection. Effects || 3D Effects || Drop Shadow
Vertical = 2 Horizontal = 2 Opacity = 100 Blur = 10 Shadow
Color = Black STEP 3
Now to add the Magnifying Glass to the image. Change
your Foreground Color to Black
Add a New Layer. Name the layer Glass. Layers || New Raster Layer
Select the
Preset
Shapes Tool
and apply the following settings.

Type = Ellipse
Antialias = Checked
Line Width = 5
Line Style = Solid

Hold
down the Shift Key and Draw a Circle in the upper half of the image. STEP
4 Now
add the Handle to the Glass.
Add
a New Layer and name the layer Handle. Layers || New Raster Layer Select
the Drawing
Tool and apply the
following settings. Type = Single Line Width = 10 Line Style
= Round Caps Antialias = Checked Hold
your Shift Key Down and Draw a straight line onto your image. You may need
to draw the line a few times until you have a good balanced length for the handle.
Rotate the handle to the right by 45 degrees and select the
Mover Tool and move
the handle into position. Image || Rotate || 45 Degrees || Right
