How to make a gradient background for your webpage design

This psp tutorial shows a quick and easy way to make your own gradient backgrounds. The Background on this page is the end result.

STEP 1

Open a New Image.
1200 x 50
White Background
16 Million Colors

STEP 2

Select the Flood Fill Tool and set your Foreground Color to the color that you want and your Background Color to White.

STEP 3

Set the Styles Selector to Gradient

STEP 4

Select the Linear Gradient Style, then the Foreground-Background Gradient Style and apply the following settings;

Angle = 90 Degrees
Repeats = 0

STEP 5

Flood Fill your image and Save As. Your background is ready for use.
