Cute FTP Tutorial
CuteFTP is
one of the world's most popular programs to use when uploading websites.
It's both easy-to-use and powerful. Follow the tutorial below to learn
just how easy it is.
Firstly you
will need to install CuteFTP on your computer. If you to not have this
program installed I recommend purchasing it from Amazon.com.
How
to Use Cute FTP. Making
a new connection. - Open
your Cute FTP program.
- If
this is your first time you have opened the program a "Site Manager"
box will appear over the body of the program, click "New".
- (See
Fig1)
- IF you have opened the
Cute FTP program previosly, click on the little "book" in the upper
left corner. (See fig 2)
- You will now be taken to
a box to fill in your FTP account details. These will be the FTP details supplied
by your webhost.

- At
A/ Fill in your site name.
- At
B/ Fill in your ftp host site address as supplied
by your webhost. Normally something like ftp.yoursite.com
- At
C/ Fill in your username as supplied by your
webhost.
- At
D/ Fill in yourpassword as supplied by your
webhost.
- At
E/ Check "Normal"
- Click
"Connect"
The
Cute FTP program should now connect you to your hosting account files.
