PSP COLOR PALETTE TUTORIAL

On the right side of your Paint Shop Pro screen, you will see the PSP color palette. Clicking on any of the colors will bring up the color selector window.

The top 2 rectangles are the Foreground and the Background color selectors. Clicking on either rectangles will bring up a dialogue window where you can choose the color of your choice.

Clicking on the arrows will reverse the color selected. IE. The background color will become the Foreground color and vice versus.

Clicking the arrow on the STYLES rectangles, will bring up a bar with four icons on it. The first, like a paint brush, is the Solid Color Selector, the second the Gradient Color Selector, the third the Patterns Selector and the fourth is the Null Button which simply means that you turn the function off.

When selecting one of these Styles, clicking within the rectangle will bring up a further selector window where you can choose what type of style you require.

For example, choosing a Gradient Style will bring up a window where you scroll to the gradient required.

This is the same for all Gradient and Pattern styles.

Hovering your mouse over any button will bring up a text box which briefly explains the use of the tool. You can also see the explanation in the bottom status bar.
