Find out what your website is worth if you were to sell it

Wanting to sell your website? How to find out what price your website is worth if you were to sell it

When checking my email this morning, I came across yet another person wanting to purchase one of our websites (we own several of them) Which got me curious .... how does a person find out what their website is worth?

After searching Google for a short time, I came across an online tool called Website Outlook. They describe themselves as being, 'the perfect place to evaluate the price of any website'.

I have to admit, after typing in a few of our own website domains, they seem to be quite accurate. Although they do state: 'the information offered by Websiteoutlook is not guaranteed to be 100% Accurate and is offered as reference only', I do highly recommend this online tool for checking a rough price for your website.

Note, if you use this tool to work out the price of your own website, also take into account the percentage of revenue made from sales across your site. Websiteoutlook only calculates on the approximated daily advertising revenue.

For example, in my case I would double the estimated worth, due to additional revenue created from sales of software, website templates and games.
