Free wordpress themes and templates to use for your blog design
If your looking to set up a blog on your website, one of the most popular free scripts available is called WordPress. There are two ways to set up this script. The first method is to download WordPress and install it yourself to your website host. The current stable release is version 2.2. However you do need to have some knowlege of how to install server side scripts. The second method, and the most easiest way to start your own blog, is to sign up for a webhost that offers a one click install of WordPress. Once you have WordPress weblog installed you will then need to choose a theme or template as they are also known, for your design.
Listed below are some of the nicest designs for WordPress themes and templates we have recently come across.
1. MUSHBLUE is one of the most recent additions to the collection of themes available at WordPress.net

As you can see, it's a blue template with two columns. The width is fixed with the side bar displayed on the right and the main content on the left.
2. This black and chrome wordpress theme is designed by Cory Miller. It has 3 columns and is widget ready. Cory has also created a few nice business themes as well that are worth the look.

3. Next is a nice wordpress flower theme that would possibly suit photographers. Especially those that photograph flowers and nature.

4. I Feel Dirty is a red blue and white paper theme with the edges turned up. I find this one really eye catching and neat.

5. Next is a notebook wordpress template that would be suitable for teaching or educational weblogs.

7. This next one is a free wordpress theme or template that would suit a travelling blog design. It has a main header along the top and a 2 column body, with the main content being on the right side.

8. Here is a winter design for those bloggers who want to get an early start with what I think looks like a Christmas wordpress theme.

9. This next style is a clean modern brown wordpress template that supports widget plugins. It has 2 columns with the links down the right side.

Well I can't go past my own word press theme. Not designed by me but I feel it fits well with my life. There are city scapes and I live in a metropolis, there are nature scenes which I love and there's even a picture of my dog. Well, it's not mine but it certainly looks like it.
The author of the theme is down the bottom of my blog.
