We Are The Web
A few weeks back one of our posts discussed What is web 2.0 and is it important.
Since making that post, I've come across a terrific video that visually demonstrates the concept of web 2.0 It starts off explaining it with a series of examples, showing evolution from written text and structural elements of html websites, to more dynamic aspects of XML including automated data exchange. You'll see many familiar names while you watch this video including YouTube, Flickr and del.icio.us. All of which are online web 2.0 services that allow their data to be easily created, distributed and shared amongst its members.
What makes this video interesting to me is the last couple of minutes where it argues:
We are the web - We are teaching the machine what we think - We are the machine
