how to make gif animation Adobe ImageReady

Video Tutorial - Adobe ImageReady, gif animation

Here is a great video tutorial to help you learn the basics of using ImageReady to create gif animations. The tutorial uses a simple stick person and turns him into an animation that is bouncing a ball. I agree, stick people aren't usually the most interesting of animations, but it's what you learn when you follow the steps that is important. For example, you will learn how to use layers, frames and the move tool. Layers and frames especially are the two most important Photoshop elements to grasp if you want to create your own gifs.

Note: The software used in this tutorial is Adobe Photoshop.

With a little practise at using ImageReady you may end up making an animation like the one shown below :)

I love the tutorial! =D Thanks for putting this up. I thought ImageReady was hard... but the tutorial made it look easier... so I'm not so scared to try it out anymore. ^_^ Oh, I love the animation... It was funny! xD

Hi Arlene,
Glad you like it and found it helpful =)

Thank you so much for posting this, I had been struggling with making animations since I got the program, you made it sooo easy. You are a GOD.

ACE:

how did they get the figure to go off the screen like that and out of the program????

When making the animation move the stick figure frame by frame closer to the edge of the document. Then make a frame where he isnt' shown at all. This will give the impression that he moved to the edge and dissapeared.
Hope this helps.

yep, very nice information. thanks.
