Top 3 digital photography books

Being new to SLR cameras, I'm getting together a good collection of books about digital photography. Here are the three most useful books I've found helpful for beginners to photography. I recommend all 3 books, as they do complement each other. However, if you must only choose one, then it has to be the first book called 'The Betterphoto Guide to Digital Photography'. If you are really new to DSLR photography and find you are totally lost, then the third book called 'Quick Snap Guide to Digital SLR Photography' is a must have to help you getting started as soon as possible.

1. It's easy to see why The Betterphoto Guide to Digital Photography gets five stars. This book uses simple language that makes it easy to understand and follow. It is a practical guide that drives you through step by step to create professional looking photos. I found this digital photography book's explanantions and corresponding illustrations to be very useful and easy to follow, especially for beginners.

2. Digital Photography Book is great value for money. This book is filled with tips and tricks of the trade that the professional photographers use every day to get wonderful looking pictures. It's not a book full on theory. Instead it gives it to you straight down the line, good advice on what you need to do and how to do it. Much of the advice are simple things that you never think of. For example, always try to cut body parts off in the middle, between elbow and shoulder for instance. Or the tip that suggests when shooting forests, it is often best not to include the forest floor. Digital Photography Book is a useful addon or complement to the first book listed above.

3. Digital SLR Photography is a guide that will help get you up and running as quickly as possible. I recommend this book to beginners who don't know where to start when it comes to SLR photography. It provides a brief description of various camera controls, features and techniques along with illustrations.
