Free Flash tutorials Macromedia Adobe lessons

Free Flash tutorials

We now have a good collection of free Macromedia / Adobe Flash tutorials and lessons to help you get started with this fantastic animation program. If you don't already have a copy of Flash, you can download a trial version from: http://www.adobe.com/downloads/

The first tutorial you'll want to follow, is one that explains the toolbars and how to use them: How to use Flash Professional 8 tools.

Note: if you own a different version than Flash Professional 8, many of the tools don't change between versions. Therefore the lesson listed above should be helpful in teaching you how to navigate the toolbar as well.


Next, listed below are a few tutorials created with beginners in mind. They will help you learn the basics of how to use Flash:

1. How to make a flash cartoon head animation

2. Stick man animation

3. How to make a scrolling background animation in Flash

4. How to create and use motion tweens Adobe Flash


Intermediate users are those animators who already understand the basics of using the toolbar. The following Flash tutorials are aimed at those intermediate users:
