How to make a volume control, sound slider in Macromedia Flash 8
This tutorial will demonstrate how to make a media player using Flash 8. The media player will have a go and stop button as well as a volume slider that allows your visitor to increase or decrease the music level.
Firstly you will be shown how to draw and color the basic shapes for your media player. Next you are taught how to animate or rather slide the volume control up and down the groove. The tutorial then talks you through the action script that needs to be coded to make your media player actually play or pause music depending on the button your visitor pushes.
Note: Before starting this tutorial it's best to have a piece of music ready to link the media player to. The software used in this tutorial is Adobe Flash.
