PSP TUTORIALS. How to make 3D graphic bars. Often used for 3D navigation bars.

This easy to follow PSP tutorial explains the steps to make 3D graphic navigation bars for websites with the Paint Shop Pro Program.

We have split the tutorial over 2 pages to make it faster loading as the 3D bar tutorial is graphic intense where each step is explained with screenshots. Please follow the link at the end of step 6 to finish the tutorial.

Step 1

Open a new image
200 x 50
White background
16 Million Colors

Step 3
Select the Drawing Tool and while holding down the [Shift] key, draw a straight line as shown.

Drawing Tool Settings:
Type = Single Line
Width = 30
Antialias = checked
Create as Vector = NOT checked
Close Path = NOT checked

Under Draw Option Tab , choose the Round cap or if later version of PSP Select Line Style as shown in Fig to right. (See "Drawing straight line tutorial" if in doubt)

Step 4

Press [CTRL+A] to select all objects on your current layer. 

Step 5

Pick the Selection Tool click your mouse once anywhere on your image, you will notice the line becomes your active selection.
 

Step 6

Add a new layer. (Layers>New Raster Layer)

Change your color pallette foreground color to white
